Connecting To Wi-Fi


You just purchased your iPad and very soon you would require to connect it to the internet through a Wi-Fi for browsing, watching videos or playing games, downloading apps just like a computer.

To do this you need to connect iPad to a Wi-fi network. How to connect your iPad to a Wi-fi network ?


To do this, Switch on your iPad and from the iPad home screen go to 'settings' icon.

Select 'Network' in the settings screen.

Then slide the Wi-fi button to "On". iPad will then start searching for networks available nearby. It will show you the networks available.

You will see public and private networks depending on where you are. If you are in a coffee shop or hotel lobby you might see a public network. This is a public network. To connect to this, just tap the network. You should keep in mind the point that  if you will not be secure if you connect to a public network.



If you are at home and trying to connect to your own private home network you will neet to enter a password. Normally that  password can be found on the back of your router. You will be up and running as soon as you enter your password and now you  can use the internet.

Open up a browser and test if the internet connection is working.

Connect to the app store and you have thousands of apps for almost every purpose and fun. Make sure to check and confirm if  the app is paid or free before you start downloading. Or else you will end up paying huge bills unnecessarily.

You can also connect your computer to your iPad and transfer any file like music or photos to iPad.
